Painting, on European paper, varnished, depicting the Alawasha Yaksha General, one of the chiefs serving in the army of Kuvara or Vaishravana. He stands facing to the front, blue-skinned, bearded and tusked; he wears a headdress, surmounted by a crown, and necklaces, armlets and anklets all rendered in red and yellow. He holds a ringed club and an executioner's sword; facing towards him on each side is a similar-coloured Yaksha attendant, with hands held in the 'anjali' pose. All three figures wear loin-cloths of white striped with straight and wavy red lines. The background is red.
