- Inscription: The artist’s inscription: Yesterday was Shihui's birthday. Our whole family, with all the children and Shining [Shihui's brother], had a small banquet at the Fuchang Restaurant. I am now sixty years old, seven years older than Shihui. Inscribed by Baoshi in Nanjing on the eighteenth day of the fifth lunar month in the guimao year [1963]. Remark: Fu Baoshi inscribed this painting in celebration of his wife Luo Shihui's 羅時慧 birthday.
