The Dancer brooch and earrings were inspired by a photograph by Barbara Morgan of the dancer Martha Graham performing in Letters to the World in 1941. A free-flowing silhouette, the brooch was cut from a sheet of silver. Wiener said of this piece, “Even in doing literal translations, it was important to move into abstraction and evolve a secondary level of recognition.”
