Irish painter, 1871-1957

He was the brother of the poet W. B. Yeats and the son of artist Jack B. Yeats. For the first 20 years of his career Yeats produced illustrations and genre and landscape paintings. In the late 1880s he began to be known as a portrait painter and talented draftsman. Comment on works: Landscapes
