Suetin, Nikolay
Russian painter and designer, 1897-1954
Follower of Malevich, a Suprematist, and member of the Unovis group. Studied at the Vitebsk Popular Art Institute 1918-1922. He began working at the State Porcelain Factory in 1923, creating sculptural forms and Suprematist designs for tableware. He was chief artist there from 1932-1954. He designed decor and interiors for the Soviet pavilions at the 1937 and 1939 World Fairs. Russian painter and designer.
