Sevruguin was the first photographer to establish himself as an artist in Irān. He was devoted to recording Irān in his photographs; his work also betrays his interest in light and atmosphere. His photographs include images of urban life, archaeological sites, portraiture, and landscapes. Most of the pictures of people are taken in Kordestān, Lorestān, and Āzārbāijān.
