Russian painter and musician, 1861-1934
Matyshin was a painter, composer, musician, publisher, and theorist. He was a violinist for the court at St. Petersburg from 1881-1913 and a painter who exhibited frequently, and a musician who composed. He was very active in the futurist movement, and was married to fellow futurist artists Elena Guro.
