Argentine photographer and author, born 1938
In 1976, Katz received the CAPS fellowship from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Jerome Foundation Fellowship in filmmaking in New York in 1982. In 1984, he embarked on an expedition to photograph ancient Mayan sites in the Yucatán and Chiapas regions of Mexico, as well as in Guatemala and Honduras.
