Austrian architect, draftsman, and designer, 1870-1956
Born 15 December 1870. Designer of furniture, jewellery, leatherwork, textiles, metalwork, and glass. Hoffmann organized the eighth Secession exhibition in Vienna in 1900. In 1903 Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser founded the Wiener Werkstätte, the leading Viennese craft workshop. Austrian architect, designer. Comment on works: architect
