Godefroid de Huy
South Netherlandish goldsmith, silversmith, and enameler, died after 1173
Metalworker active in the southern Netherlands; he was noted in his time as an exceptionally able goldsmith. Among the numerous works, particularly reliquary shrines, that have been attributed to him, there is the least debate about two shrines at Huy (for St. Domitian and St. Mangold) and the short side of the Shrine of St. Oda. He died at Neufmoustier Abbey near Huy.
