Ess, Barbara
American photographer, musician, and publisher, 1948-2021
Ess was known for her pinhole photographs, and founded the magazine Just Another Asshole, which appeared in various formats, including an audio LP. She was also co-founder of the band Y-Pants, active in New York City in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
