German or Swiss designer, 1893-1974

Christian Dell studied drawing and then became one of Henry van de Velde's collaborators. Christian Dell's furniture design was used by the Wohnbedarf AG to make a wall unit for the "Typ O" model apartment at Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl (Zurich, Switzerland) in 1931. Christian Dell was in charge of the metal workshop at the Bauhaus, Weimar, from 1922 to 1925.
