French sculptor and teacher, 1788-1856

Sculptor who successfully mixed the Neoclassical style with his strong inclination towards naturalism. Won the Prix de Rome in 1811. His most important commission was the high-relief pedimental sculpture of the Pantheon in Paris (1837). Frech sculptor. Comment on works: sculptor
