Dutch painter, draftsman, 1620-1691
Member of the Cuyp family of painters and glass painters. He applied varied sources and influences to traditional landscape painting. He did not become popular until the late 18th century, well after his death. Comment on works: Landscapes; Portraits; Views; Ruins; Still life.
