Cointet, Guy de
French conceptual artist, 1934-1983, active in the US
Active member of the Los Angeles art scene in the 1970s and early 1980s; many works have references to his native France. He was the son of a French general, and lived in several countries including Germany, Morocco, and Algeria. Although he was active in the US from 1965, he was not an American citizen.
