Argentine painter, sculptor, and printmaker, 1905-1981

Muralist, sculptor, painter and printmaker was important in the development of Argentine art in the 20th century. Berni turned from murals to printmaking in the 1930s, as a more appropriate medium for a proletarian audience. His work reflected his interests in social and economic theories.
