Auböck, Carl
Austrian painter and designer, 1900-1957
He attended the newly opened Bauhaus on scholarship from 1919 to 1921. He met his wife, Mara there. Following their marriage in 1923, they began working on small household objects; wares cast in multiples at factories and finished by hand, following the work of his father Karl Auböck (1872-1925) who ran a metal shop producing academic bronzes.
