Painting, in opaque watercolour and gold on card, tinted to imitate leather, a portrait of a young begam, turned slightly to the left, nude to the waist. Draped over her head and falling down the back is a gold-edged muslin veil. Her hair, neck and wrists are ornamented with strings of pearls in slight relief, whilst the armlets and other jewellery are painted in gold and colours.
