Hemidrachm: Chimaera (obverse); Dove (reverse), 400–323 BC. Greek, minted at Sikyon (Peloponnesos). Silver; diameter: 1.7 cm (11/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of the John Huntington Art and Polytechnic Trust 1917.979 The monstrous chimaera adds a goat head and snake-headed tail to the already fearsome lion.
