Inscription: Inside front cover, upper left corner, in graphite: $125 / 1952:19:42; inside back cover, in graphite: Cassaine colors. / Curds which are 80 water and 20 [undeciphered word] pure / cassaine add 1/3 [?] [undeciphered words] potash / when fluid add (2 [undeciphered]) oil varnish or / linseed oil. To prepare surface to paint on / disolve [sic] balsom [sic] of coparia [?] with benzene until / grease is out of balsam then spread over ground / or take casaine [sic] and water. to keep casaine [sic] / from decaying put in a pinch of salt or almond / oil or camphor disolved [sic] in turpentine. To take / chalkyness [sic] from work varnish with wax dissolved turpentine.; last page, in graphite: [undeciphered word] 2 glue then put chalk licative [?] / white lead linseed oil.
