The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of Susan L. Hanna in honor of Marvin A. Feldstein 2014.376 This desk and chair were made using a process of carving stacked wood that could be cantilevered for strength, allowing the creation of exaggerated forms. A leading figure in the American studio craft movement, Wendell Castle uses biomorphic forms when creating functional pieces.
