Peaches and Bats, late 1600s-1700s. China, Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Greenish-white jade; overall: 9.9 x 13.5 x 11.5 cm (3 7/8 x 5 5/16 x 4 1/2 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of William Kelly Simpson in memory of his wife Marilyn M. Simpson and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. 2006.141 This jade sculpture was given to the museum in memory of John D. Rockefeller and his family.
