Gray ware with black burnished slip and Barbotine decoration; diameter: 21 cm (8 1/4 in.); overall: 20.5 cm (8 1/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, John L. Severance Fund 1992.124 Pots from this part of the Roman empire are decorated with texture rather than color due to the quality of the clay.
