Vessel Ornament of Reclining Lyre-player, probably 400–375 BC. Italy, Etruscan, early 4th Century BC. Bronze with gilding traces; overall: 5.2 cm (2 1/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of Mrs. Ernest Brummer 1986.185 This reclining figure is a musician holding a lyre, a precursor to the harp.
