The Cleveland Museum of Art, John L. Severance Fund 1970.30 Dughet spent his whole career in Rome. At the age of fifteen he entered the studio of Nicolas Poussin (1593/94-1665), who married his sister. Dughet concentrated exclusively on landscapes, preferring a rugged type of scenery, widely imitated well into the 18th century.
