The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of the Ohio Northern Chapter of the American Institute of Decorators 1962.72 Claude Conover, one of Cleveland’s most prolific and masterful ceramic artists of the 20th century, often created large, minimalist vessels that exploited the natural colors and strength of clay. This oblong beige and brown pot embodies Conover's aesthetic.
