Attributed to Basavana (Indian, active c. 1560–1600). Gum tempera, ink, and gold on paper; overall: 20 x 14.4 cm (7 7/8 x 5 11/16 in.); painting only: 10.6 x 10.2 cm (4 3/16 x 4 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of Mrs. A. Dean Perry 1962.279.35.a The pink leaves are new shoots that have not yet turned green.
