Roundels with hunters, 800s. Eastern Iran or Central Asia. Samite: silk; overall: 26.5 x 25.5 cm (10 7/16 x 10 1/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of The Textile Art Alliance 1959.124 This textile consists of two fragments mounted together (1959.124 and 1982.284). The two roundels have different diameters, even though the number of warps per repeat is the same.
