Cap, 1300s. Syria or Egypt, Mamluk Dynasty (1250–1517). Lampas, quilted: silk; overall: 11.4 x 16.5 x 16.5 cm (4 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, John L. Severance Fund 1950.510 The winter-weight quilted cap was part of a set with a matching quilted vest.
