Collar with Medallion and Pendant, AD 200–300. Egypt, Alexandria, Roman, 3rd century. Gold; diameter of central pendant: 4.2 cm (1 5/8 in.); chain: 40.7 cm (16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mallon 1948.419 The central gold coin is an aureus of Commodus, minted before he became sole emperor.
