Necklace, c. 1200–1519. Mexico, Oaxaca, Mixtec, 13th-16th century. Gold, shell, turquoise; overall: 49 cm (19 5/16 in.); pendant: 6.3 cm (2 1/2 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Norweb Collection 1945.123 These ancient beads were restrung in modern times.
