Bowl, 1662–1722. China, Qing dynasty (1644-1911), Kangxi reign (1661-1722). Porcelain; overall: 45.2 cm (17 13/16 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Bequest of James Parmelee 1940.962 The apocryphal inscription in a double circle on the base reads "made in the Ming dynasty, Jiajing period," but the bowl was made during the reign of the Qing emperor Kangxi.
