Fritware with carved decoration and underglaze design, Lakabi ware; overall: 8.3 x 40 cm (3 1/4 x 15 3/4 in.). The Cleveland Museum of Art, Purchase from the J. H. Wade Fund 1938.7 Sanctioned by the Qur'an (5:4-6), falconry was for many centuries a favorite sport of Muslim rulers.
