- The Urdu inscription on the flyleaf describes the manuscript's recent provenance as follows: Given to me by Muh[ammad] Ali [sic] Khan Arif Aghai, a jagudar of the Hyderabad State and Assistant Vazir in the Nazm-i Jamiat at Hyderabad, on the occasion of the coronation of His Majesty the King Emperor, in token of his loyalty and respect." The English inscription is signed by Lord Harding, Viceroy of India, and dated July 1911.
